First Light

We took our telescope out tonight and looked at Jupiter and its moons.   This was the first time we put on eye-pieces, used a laser to adjust the mirror, and looked at the night sky.   We loved it.

We hooked it to a battery and could aim it with the remote.  We did not figure out how to get the computer aiming automatically yet.  We will work on that next time.

Putting together our new telescope

Our Orion 14-inch Dobsonian telescope came in several boxes.   Amoni and I put it together Aug 3, 2017.   It is taller than his head but his hands can reach higher.
